It’s easy to tell certain people who have no real regard for themselves by the way they respect others. If you want to be great, or see great things you need to have a sense of regard for greatness in other people. Prov.12:5
The principle is what you disregard will disregard you. And what you celebrate will be attracted to you and will also celebrate you.
It seems to me that lying in all of us is a potent sense of greatness and true worth. This greatness becomes manifest as we begin to obey the law of recognition. That is we see/recognize people not the way they are but the way we are. Titus 2:15, 1Cor. 9:20-22.
For example, you want to build a good business, or have a great relationship with your colleagues at work, or even your spouse at home, if you don’t recognize the great efforts of others, you may never see the quality of what you desire in your own life. Period.
People who have true greatness in them, respect the great efforts and strides of other people taking great steps. They avoid flippant criticisms. They refuse to despise or lightly esteem the germane efforts of others. They are respectful. They deliberately disdain backbites because they know to backbite is to stay at the back and they certainly have a destiny of being in front.
When you hear the testimony of others, don’t be too wise in your own eyes and set off into analyzing the details and devaluing the awesomeness, rather get excited and respect great things because you also are destined to be great.
Your next level in life is attained by standing on the shoulders of those who have gone ahead of you.
Expect great things my brother today, by recognizing the great things in the life of others.
I call you blessed in Jesus name. Amen.
Till next time, please Remain God’s Pride! Amen!
Lord, help me see things correctly. Grant me the discipline of thoughts and mind to think right thoughts and to say right words about myself and others in Jesus name. Amen!
