Genesis 8:4 (KJV)

4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

This was the scripture that stayed with me as I prepared for the year 2021.

The ark may be what we carry, as in the ark of the Lord. (1 Sam4:4). Or it may be what carries us. Gen. 8:1-4.

It is my understanding that the ark, which we either and both carry or that carries us at some point will find a place to rest because it needs a place to rest. As in this case, rested on mount Ararat. And the waters decreased continually till the top of the mountains was seen.

It is God’s Word to us as a ministry that the ark we both carry and that carries us will rest and all the assaulting waters will be asswaged as it is in scriptures. Gen.8:1-4.

God wants us to both expect and experience rest this year. Rest from our works. Rest in His Word. Rest from the world. Rest from assaulting waters, indeed Rest on every side. This shall be so in Jesus name.

It will appear during my meditation that God was causing me to observe His emphasis for His people to come to a position of rest.

God ended His HardWork with as much time He gave to a day’s work. He gave a whole day to Rest. It seems to reiterate God’s candid displeasure to worry, anxiety and haste. God Almighty, Himself has institutionalised   the concept of Rest, by giving the whole of the 7th day to it.

Rest brings with it refreshing. Rest brings Restoration of strength and readiness to take on the next day of work.

Therefore to us Rest is not an admonishment. It is an instruction. A commandment. A Responsibility.

And He restores our souls…Ps. 23:3. This is not a one of experience. He is the one that can and He will restore us in Jesus name. Amen!

And of course what follows Rest, Restoration but Rejoicing. Actually, Rejoicing is another form of Rest in itself. God will and has caused us to rejoice more than the former times. He has given us gain of grounds, times and moments. He has put a song in our mouth and our response like Apostle Paul’s advice…Rejoice again I say Rejoice. Phill. 4:4.

These are the pointers to the Word of God for us as a ministry.

Rest. Individual, Institutional and National Rest.

Restoration. He will restore our souls. He will restore Health and heal our wounds.

Rejoicing. He will and He has caused us to rejoice over circumstances and our adversaries.

These are the thoughts of God towards us. Regards and Please Remain God’s Pride! Amen!
